01 · About

We help leaders move with clarity.

Deep technical understanding, pragmatic business judgment — without the hype.

Founded by Mike Estes, Estes Advisory LLC works with founders, executives, and technical leaders who need a trusted advisor at the intersection of systems, people, and outcomes.

Background spans cloud engineering leadership, data platforms, security & observability, and go-to-market for AI production — including roles at Snowflake, Archetype Consulting, Velir, and as Head of Business Development at DevNest.

Mike also serves as Advisor and Head of Operations for the Cloud Leadership Circle.

02 · Services

What we do

Practical support for complex decisions — scoped engagements with clear artifacts.

SVC-01

Cloud & infrastructure strategy

Decide what to run where, what to retire, and what to modernize first — across AWS, Azure, and GCP — without a multi-year re-architecture theater.

→ Target architecture + 90-day execution plan

SVC-02 · Featured

AI production engineering

Most AI work fails in production, not in the lab. Assessment sprints and delivery support to harden models, data paths, governance, and operations — often with DevNest engineering.

→ Production readiness scorecard + remediations

SVC-03

Data architecture & insight

Warehouse and lakehouse direction, semantic layers, and decision systems so leadership can trust the numbers and act faster.

→ Metric ownership map + trusted dashboard path

SVC-04

Strategic partnerships

Identify, evaluate, and structure partnerships that accelerate capability — software teams, cloud specialists, and AI platforms — without vendor theater.

→ Shortlist + negotiation brief

SVC-05

Independent technical diligence

Second opinions on vendor proposals, architecture bets, and AI investments — so you buy with eyes open and negotiate from strength.

→ Written opinion + risk register

SVC-06

Fractional leadership

Interim or part-time cloud, data, and AI leadership when you need senior judgment without a full-time hire — strategy and unblocking, not slide decks alone.

→ Cadence + decision log for the engagement

03 · Products

What we build

Software products from Estes Advisory — technical surfaces by default, with clear paths to commercial conversations when you need them.

PRD-02 · Building

ForgeLens

Digital twin for construction and related industries — BIM, reality capture, and AI-assisted verification with human-in-the-loop. Built for field adoption and long-term ops.

→ Jobsite reality ↔ plan · verified progress

PRD-03 · Open Source

grok-a2a

Unofficial A2A wrapper for xAI Grok. A community adapter so other agents can discover an Agent Card and hand off text tasks — not affiliated with or endorsed by xAI.

→ Open source · GitHub, not a product host

04 · Approach

How we work

Clarity over complexity. Partnership over transactions.

01

Understand deeply first

We invest time upfront on your business, constraints, and goals before recommending anything. No generic playbooks.

02

Co-create the path

Realistic plans with your team — ambition balanced against execution reality, ownership, and timeline.

03

Stay until it’s clear

Engagement through implementation and decision points — not strategy that dies on a slide deck.

OODA-style operating cadence · 4–6 week chunks

05 · Engagements

How work typically starts

Clear shapes, fixed outcomes — so you know what you get before you commit.

ENG-00 · Fixed Engagement · $1,500 – $2,500

ENG-01 · 2 weeks

Assessment sprint

Focused diagnostic on a cloud, data, or AI production problem. Interviews, artifact review, and a written path forward — not a multi-month study.

→ Findings memo + prioritized recommendations

ENG-02 · 4–6 weeks

Decision support

Architecture, vendor, or partnership decisions with senior judgment on-call — workshops, red-team reviews, and a decision log your board can read.

→ Decision brief + risk register

ENG-03 · Ongoing

Fractional lead

Part-time ownership of a cloud, data, or AI initiative: cadence, unblocking, and executive translation until the work is stable enough to hand off.

→ Weekly cadence + living decision log

Scoped first · Expand only when useful · No retainer theater

CST-02 · Home services

Expo Home Improvement

Dallas–Fort Worth home improvement company — advisory and systems work spanning operations, technology, data, and AI for a multi-trade field service business.

What we collect (and what we don’t)

This site is a static brochure. We do not set advertising cookies, and we do not use browser local storage or session storage for tracking or ads. We do use cookieless Plausible analytics (a privacy-focused tracker, not an ad pixel). Fonts are self-hosted on this origin (no Google Fonts request).

Analytics. We use Plausible Analytics (privacy-focused, cookieless). Plausible does not use cookies or persistent identifiers; it does not store personal data intended to identify individuals. It records aggregate measures such as pageviews, referrers, device type, and outbound link clicks (for example to Cal.com or LinkedIn). See Plausible’s data policy.

Hosting. Pages are served from AWS (S3 + CloudFront). Edge servers process standard request metadata (such as IP address and user-agent) for delivery, security, and operational logs. We do not use that pipeline for advertising profiles.

When you leave this site. Links to Cal.com, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other third parties are outside our control. Those services may set cookies or collect data under their own policies once you open them.

Site UI script. Our small /js/main.js only handles navigation (mobile menu and section highlighting). It does not set cookies or call third-party trackers.
